Dr. Tillwich B411 Cylinder & Rotary Valve Oil, 8 ml is a specialised precision lubricant for rotary valve mechanisms in brass instruments. Supplied in a compact precision oiler with a long, fine applicator tip for accurate dispensing.
Features and benefits
B411 is developed for precision mechanics. It reduces friction, supports smooth and accurate rotary valve operation, and provides long-lasting protection of metal components against corrosion.
The oil is acid-free, non-resinifying and cold-resistant down to −10 °C. Its needle-tip applicator allows economical, targeted lubrication of small mechanical parts.
Applications and compatibility
Suitable for rotary valve mechanisms in French horns, trombones with F attachments, tubas, tenor horns, baritones and other brass instruments with rotary valves.
Designed for lubricating spindle bearings, pins, levers, pivots, joints and mechanical linkages. For piston (Perinet) valves, Dr. Tillwich offers a separate product: V511 Valve Oil.

Application and care
Apply a small amount of oil to accessible rotary mechanism lubrication points. Operate the valve gently several times to distribute the lubricant. Remove excess oil using a soft, lint-free cloth.
Important: avoid excessive oil on cork and felt stops. Sticking valves or excessive mechanical play should be checked by a qualified repair technician. Follow the safety instructions on the packaging.
